USC Canada

“Rebel helped us speak to our audiences in a powerful new way. Thanks to the tools they taught us, teams across our organization are thinking more strategically about how to communicate to be truly engaging. That’s helped us amplify our message, and our impact.”

– Elodie Mantha, Director of Communications and Outreach, USC Canada

Shepherds of Good Hope

“Rebel helped Shepherds of Good Hope bring our donor stewardship to a whole new level, thanks to their assistance with our email welcome series. We’ve always been about change: changing hearts and minds, changing the odds for Ottawa’s most vulnerable, and ultimately changing lives. And now, we’ve changed our brand. Without the help of Rebel, this change wouldn’t have been possible.”

– Amber Brame, Marketing and Communications Manager, Shepherds of Good Hope

The Smallest Steps

“When we started the smallest steps, we could not access the funding or technical know-how to build a professional website for our documentary. Rebel not only crafted a beautiful site for our project, which they taught us how to use, but they also supported us in many other ways, including helping us network in the Ottawa community and supporting our project's grant applications. Working with Rebel has truly felt like a partnership as opposed to a transactional relationship. We are definitely thankful that we found the ChangeMaker program!”

– Nicole Bedford, Co-Producer and Director, The Smallest Steps

Stand With Congo

“With Rebel’s support, we felt far more confident in our ability to organize large public advocacy events and actions knowing that they had our backs online. We knew that whether we needed to stream video content with actor and advocate Robin Wright or host a petition signed by activists in 72 countries, our website could handle the traffic and function seamlessly.”

– JD Stier, Founding Director, Stand With Congo

USC Canada’s ChangeMaker Story

USC Canada’s work promotes vibrant family farms, strong rural communities and healthy ecosystems around the world. They focus on activities that build food and livelihood security for small-scale farmers and preserve the agricultural biodiversity necessary to feed a growing and changing planet.

Seeds of Survival (SoS) is USC Canada’s core program that works in partnerships with farming communities in 12 countries around the world, including Bangladesh, Cuba, Mali and Nicaragua.

Through the Rebel ChangeMaker program, USC had an all-day marketing strategy and training session with Rebel’s VP of Marketing. The key learnings from this session helped them to build out a more robust communication strategy across multiple platforms, allowing them to amplify their message and impact in a measurable way.

Applying to become a Rebel ChangeMaker is simple – no strict criteria or hoops to jump through. Just tell us your story, what you’re trying to accomplish, and how we can help.
